Ngorongoro Serena Safari Lodge
Perched on the jagged rim of the crater, wreathed in morning mist, camouflaged in river-stone and cloaked in indigenous creepers, the Ngorongoro Serena Safari Lodge is a triumph of ecological and architectural fusion. Sensitively constructed so as to take nothing from its environment whilst affording endless vistas over the heat-shimmering reaches of the crater below, the clustered boulder-built buildings of the Lodge hug the crater rim, linked by rope-lashed timber walkways that skirt the buttressed roots of ancient, liana-hung trees. The interior, radiating out from the primeval log fire glowing at the heart of the Lodge, blends the concentrated hush of a game-viewing hide with the ochre, rust and charcoal images of a prehistoric cavern. Lit by flaming wall-lanterns, clad in gigantic volcanic boulders and decorated by the iron spears, bright-beaded robes and intricately carven artefacts of the Maasai, the Lodge is a unique blend of world-class luxury, timeless volcanic splendour and ethnic style. As for the views, from lilac-streaked sunrise, to indigo star-studded night, the immeasurably ancient Ngorongoro Crater delivers a theatre of vistas, most unchanged since the dawn of time.
Ngorongoro Wildlife Lodge
The Lodge is elegantly built mainly from natural stone and local wood and timber, harmoniously merging with its natural surroundings, and it is provided with panoramic windows that encompass superb views of the crater’s great bowl. From its privileged position, all the Lodge’s 75 rooms afford breathtaking uninterrupted views, and the open – air terrace of the Rhino Lounge Bar offers superb panoramic views of the whole crater.
Ngorongoro Sopa Lodge
The lodge is located on Lemala Hill on the uppermost, eastern rim of the Ngorongoro Crater, a World Heritage Site, in the volcanic highlands of northern Tanzania. The crater forms part of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area which covers 8,300sq kms (3,200 sq. miles). This World Heritage Site has been set aside to preserve and integrate the diverse values and interests of wildlife, local people, archaeology, flora, tourism and the area's environment and ecology. The Ngorongoro Sopa Lodge is, and will remain as , the only tourist development on the eastern rim of the crater and thus offers our guests unique and spectacular views down into the crater floor and of the sunsets over the western horizon. Another major advantage of this site that our guests can enjoy is the fact that their crater safari begins within five minutes of leaving the lodge.

The Gibb’s Farm
GIBB’S FARM today consists of 30 Acres of quality organic coffee, 10 acres of organic vegetables and fruit, 5 acres of flowers and herbs and a working dairy and pig farm. There is also a tree nursery on the Farm where hundreds of young saplings are grown to encourage the growth of native tree species in the area. The entire operation is a model of ecologically sustainable agriculture. Everything is grown organically using only natural fertilizer from the farm. Farm Manager Petro uses plants with insect repellent properties instead of pesticides to ensure that no chemicals are added to the vegetables. Reclaimed water is used whenever possible. All buildings and furniture are built using local materials and local labor, at our on-site workshop. All bottles are broken down and recycled, or used in building foundations. 90% of our hot water is heated using solar power. In short, every possible element of GIBB’S FARM is ecologically friendly and sustainable.
