8 Days / 7 nights Christian Classic Tour in Israel

 Day 1:
Arrival at Ben Gurion Airport/ Allenby Bridge (Israel / Jordan border next to Jericho) and transfer to your hotel in Tiberias. Overnight in Tiberias.

Day 2:
Today we visit Nazareth, where we visit the Basilica of the Annunciation and the Greek-Orthodox St. Gabriel church near Mary’s Well. Then we continue to the places where Jesus acted around the Sea of Galilee: Capernaum, with Peters House and the famous Synagogue, enjoy the view from Mt. of the Beatitudes, where the “Sermon on the Mount” was given, and the reconstructed church at Tabgha, where tradition puts the miracle of the Bread and The Fish. Overnight in Tiberias.

Day 3:
The tour today includes the Baniass (in Jesus time Caesarea Philippii, where Petrus became “The Rock”) pass Kursi, where the Deamons became pigs, and visit Mt. Tabor, where tradition puts the miracle of the Transfiguration. Overnight in Tiberias.

Day 4:
Drive to Meggido, the ancient ciy where we still can see the walls and gate of King Salomon and the stables of King Ahab as well as a very sophisticated water-system. Meggido is Armaggedon, where the last war shall take place. Caesarea Maritima, where the “Vision of the Flesh” happened, and the beautiful port city built by King Herod the Great from which Peter went out on his journey to Rome, and short walk through the alley-ways of Jaffa, the Old City of Tel Aviv, and drive up to Jerusalem. Overnight in  Jerusalem.

Day 5:
Mt. of Olives, walk down through the Dominus Flevit Church to the Garden of Gethsemane. Visit the “Wailing Wall” and then walk along the “Via Dolorosa” – Jesus Way of Suffering, to the Church of the Holy Sepulcher, where Jesus was crucified, burried and resurrected.  In the late afternoon we visit Mt. Zion with the “Cenaculum” – the room of the “Last Supper” the Dormition Abbey (if still open) and the Tomb of King David. Overnight Jerusalem.

Day 6:
Visit the Israeli Museum, with the “Shrine of the Book” where the Dead Sea Scrolls are exhibited and the 1:1 model of Jerusalem as it was in Jesus time. Visit Bethlehem (if the situation allows it!) and then Ein Karem, the picturesque village, where according to tradition John the Baptist was born. Overnight Jerusalem,

Day 7:
Today we drive down to the Dead Sea, the deepest point on earth. We visit Qumran, where the Dead Sea Scrolls were found, the famous fortress Massada, and take some time as well to “swim” (float!) in the Dead Sea’s unique water. Overnight Jerusalem.

Day 8:
Transfer to the Ben Gurion Airport/ Allenby Bridge for your departure.
